NKT-IKBU International Fall Festival 2012

12th - 17th October at KMC Spain

The empowerment and commentary to the practice of Buddha Vajrapani with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang

Vajrapani is a Buddha whose function is to destroy the delusions of living beings by bestowing special power upon their body and mind. His name means 'Vajra Holder', which indicates that he is the holder of Secret Mantra, the lineage holder of Buddha's Tantric teachings. Through his blessings and inspiration we can gain the inner strength to face our daily problems and sufferings and to eliminate our delusions, especially our self-grasping ignorance. Delusions are the true enemies of living beings; they continually rob us of inner peace and destroy our happiness. Receiving this empowerment connects us directly with Buddha Vajrapani, giving us the inspiration and confidence to progress succesfully on the spiritual path and eventually attain our final goal, the supreme happiness of enlightenment.

Gen-la Kunsang will then give a commentary to the practice of Buddha Vajrapani, showing how we can continue to receive this special inspiration in our daily life. This will be followed by a short meditation retreat on this practice, guided by a senior student of the tradition, and will conclude with the play The Life of Atisha. The Festival begins with an introductory teaching on the Friday evening (12th) and finishes at lunchtime on the Thursday (18th).
